PS5 Jailbreak Sparks Debate Over Hardware Ownership
A new PlayStation 5 jailbreak has surfaced, prompting a wave of commentary from gamers regarding the concept of hardware ownership. The image features a crying Wojak meme alongside the text, 'New PS5 jailbreak drops, players tell Sony: Get used to not owning your hardware.' This development highlights ongoing tensions between console manufacturers and users who advocate for greater control over the devices they purchase. The discourse reflects broader frustrations within the gaming community concerning digital rights, restrictive software ecosystems, and the extent to which companies should maintain authority over hardware after it has been sold to consumers.

Sony wanted to go all digital so I don't see the problem of console itself going digital either.
Jailbreak......where, how? Asking for a friend
So, Sony does not own hardware that you paid full price for? Great flex.
Im a Gran Turismo nut. Been hooked on it since the first Gran Turismo on the PS1. So because of that i bought the PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and lately the PS5. Just to play all Gran Turismos from 1 to 7. Let me just tell you upfront that if you have a PS4 theres no reason to buy the PS5
One of these days the console wars or console fanboyisms will end and people will just see games as "data" and devices as either 'walled off' or 'open'. Now if you would please excuse me. I got some actual gaming to do.
Havenât bought Spider-Man remastered (thatâs kinda the only game itching me to buy from Sony on steam), not Spodergay 2, not RagnarÜÜk, not the gay Dino game and certainly not Gayverine. Mind you I do like buying games on Steam but I donât think Sonyâs slopâs worth it.
You still need to buy a PS5 from Sony...
wrong, it must be: sony get used to not owning MY hardware
I hope Sony crashes and burns
lol fuck sony. will never buy any of their crap. time for them to die
