I made a fence. Builders quoted me 5k usd. Me and two buddies built it ourselves. Cost is about 1500 for materials, 150 for tools and 300 for meat and beer. Took us three times longer and a lot of pain and suffering but it was still fun and the result is pretty good.
It worked this way in Poland years ago and it was great. First, you and rest of family and friends helped your cousin build his house, then everybody else helped you. Also, your uncle knew how to build roofs, your friend knew a guy who would get cement cheaply etc. Now families l
