Man Struggles to Corral Chickens at Night

A man attempts to gather his chickens into their enclosure after dark, but the birds remain perched on top of the coop. Because chickens have limited vision in low-light conditions and a natural instinct to roost in high places, they remain largely stationary while the man picks them up one by one to place them inside. The video highlights the challenges of managing poultry after sunset, as the birds are easily startled and often unable to navigate back into their shelter on their own once it gets dark.

They are basically blind at night. Be fckn quiet and you can basically just pick them up. Disease called night blindness (nuctalopia) that you can't see shit after sunset in polish language is called "chicken blindness".

Most the time when at night chickens just shut down mentally and it's usually pretty easy to just walk up and pick them up with no issue.

What a moron. Chickens (birds) have the so called “perching instinct”, they would sleep on trees in the wild, so put up some branches or sticks, inside the cage. Ideally at different heights because that’s what the hierarchy within the group needs. Their claws have a reflex to ho
