Take literally any material that isn't cloth. Steel, paper, plastic, whatever. Fold it 180 degrees and back on the same line a hundred times, and it WILL have stress damage, or break. Even a small child just barely getting to know the world is aware of this. Everyone with a brain

I still dont see the hype around foldable smartphones. if you need a bigger screen you just get a cheap tablet (the cheapest yet decent 10-11" tab around here is 120-150 bucks)
