A Look at 9GAG's Data Sharing Practices and Subscription Model
A screenshot of a 9GAG mobile app interface reveals the platform's current monetization and data privacy policies. The screen prompts users to pay €1.99 per month to remove advertisements and disable personalized tracking. Notably, the text highlights that for users who do not opt for the paid subscription, the platform shares data with 700 partners to facilitate personalized advertising, content measurement, and audience insights. This disclosure regarding the high number of third-party partners has sparked discussion among users regarding digital privacy and the prevalence of ad-supported content models in modern mobile applications.

They should just rename 9gag, the throatgoat
just add dns.adguard.com as prived dns - even the app will no longer display ads... or use firefox whit ublock, or brave...
Brave… iOS or android or even windows / Mac
Ads are the "tax" paid by those too stupid to evade them.
I haven't seen an ad on the app in ages.
I'm browsing through brave, I legit don't understand why more people don't do it.
700 partners - AKA they get paid to promote political posts
This is why i dont understand ppl that buy pro and pro+... Browsers like brave for mobile or pc are adblock native 9gag makes millions.. they have huge offices... And its all the community that does that
€1.99 a month?! Pro cost €3.95 10 years ago. One payment, no adds. I'm still gay though. Lol
Ah ! They called us gay for having Pro. I paid like 0.79€ 15 years ago, once, and got rid of ads for all these years. Now you have to pay 2€/month for the same service or gtfo ahahah. I'm french, I was already gay !
