We did that with our kids, stupid son couldn't swim but could float. Had to keep fishing him out of pools until he learnt to swim. Went to a local pool with my daughter we were the only ones in the pool, she was jumping off the side to me, then the life guard said we had to stop
actually, every newborn can do this apparently, falling on rivers or lakes was a huge problem back in the day so we evolved an early swimming instinct... it's lost overtime apparently

Well, the problem isn't that babies aren't able to learn to swim, it's the risk that liberal women would drown their kids in the process.
This isn't for fun. This is a life saving ability that can get your kids the extra 30 seconds for an adult to get them out while still alive.
Babies can instinctively swim at birth. They forget at around 6 months if not exposed to water. Google it.
