Sony Updates PlayStation Terms of Service, Sparking User Backlash
A viral image highlights recent updates to Sony's PlayStation terms of service, which have drawn significant criticism from the gaming community. The terms clarify that users are purchasing a license to access digital games rather than owning the content outright, and that access can be revoked if an account is banned. Additionally, the terms note that Sony may record user chats and clips, monetize shared content, and cap their liability for damages at £100. The post uses the phrase "You will own nothing... and you'll be happy" to express frustration over the shift toward digital-only licensing models and the perceived loss of consumer control over purchased media.

I can't wait to see the trials in EU.
And that's why the PS5 will be my last Sony console. Sony fuck off
It is time for someone to jailbreak the ps5 and let us pirate their games. Sony can get fucked for this shit
People will still pay.
don't. spend. your. money. (preorder high on gta6. Like..on a digital product. Who is this stupid?)
Fuck sony
Weird as the Email says i have already agreed to those terms. I haven't even been on PS5 for months. But hey on the bright side if they record clips and IP addresses that means there won't be hackers anymore...right?
Well, you know how to respond. Stop buying (or renting) Sony products. ALL Sony Products That includes music and movies too
Time for these fuckers to go down. I will never buy another PlayStation or their games. PC gaming and my old consoles from now on.
The fact that they put it into a ToS doesn't make it legal in Europe, though. You can put anything you want in a contract, including that you'll give your firstborn to Sony coal mines but that doesn't make it legal to consumer ToS standards. In EU we have consumer rights and laws
