I don't think AI will destroy us. it will keep us around as pets. it seems that everyone wants eventually to transfer all responsibilities and decisions to AI. it will treat us in the same way that i treat my dog and cat. my dog receives a medicine every morning. she doesn't know
The only ones who will be "destroyed" are the 1%. And frankly, the older I grow, the more I believe that large, international conglomerates should be split apart by anti-monopoly regulations. US Blackrock would be a nice start.
