Questioning the Logic of Harry Potter Magic Systems - Memes on Aviaclip

This meme highlights a perceived inconsistency in the Harry Potter universe by comparing the forbidden nature of the Killing Curse, Avada Kedavra, with the seemingly more violent and destructive spell used against Bellatrix Lestrange in the film adaptation. The image captures the moment Bellatrix disintegrates into dark, confetti-like fragments, prompting a humorous critique of the wizarding world's moral and legal standards regarding lethal magic. By juxtaposing the 'unforgivable' status of the Killing Curse with the graphic visual of a character being shattered, the post invites fans to debate the lore, power scaling, and narrative choices made in the Harry Potter series.

I have the answer, you’re not gonna like it. It’s because it is a made up work of fiction and fiction rarely has no plot holes.

I guess for the same reason why in most civilized countries kitchen knifes are allowed but firearms are restricted. One is a tool that can be used to kill someone, while the other is made for the specific purpose of killing people and pretty much useless for anything else.

Because Avada Kedavra can only be used to kill and nothing else. It can also not be defended against, except under verry rare and specific circumstances.

She didn't turn into confetti, this is movie bullshit. She got a stunning spell in her heart, very angrilly and very spitefully because she tried to kill Jinny. In real life it would be akin to hitting someone with a hammer, with all your strength right in the fucking heart. A ha

Avada Kedavra is the most humane way of killing someone in the HP universe

valentina_15xAug 29, 2026

Because Harry Potter has a Soft magic system, and Rowling didn't plan ahead. Same reason they didn't use the Time Turners to go back in time and kill Voldermort.

To be fair, in the books mollys shock spell made her heart stop. She only exploded in the movie.

Because to use avada kedavra you have to want the person to be dead. To turn people into confetti you just need to want to have fun!
