Oklahoma City Manhole Covers Feature Helpful 'You Are Here' Maps
A unique urban design detail in Oklahoma City turns functional infrastructure into a navigational tool. The city's manhole covers are cast with a detailed street map of the surrounding area. To assist pedestrians, each cover includes a small, distinct white dot that marks the exact location of the manhole, effectively functioning as a 'you are here' indicator. This creative approach to municipal design provides a helpful reference point for anyone walking through the city streets.
That is honestly such a cool little detail to find while walking around.
My sense of direction is so bad I actually need this on every single corner
I would definitely stop and stare at these for way too long.
That is actually such a cool design detail, wish more cities did this
