Celebrating a birthday because after we are born and turn 18 we are paying for a life subscription we never subscribed to. No thanks.

My girlfriend gets all excited for birthdays, so we usually end up doing something due to that. Don’t get me wrong, she definitely gets more excited for her own birthday.

Because we're insecure, and would rather be emotionally closed off than live with the unforgettable pain of rejection

I love celebrating my birthday. This year I made a beach party with all my friends, lots of drinks and foods, got some pavillons and speakers. There weren't many other people on that beach, so I invited them over, too. It sas an awesome day overall. Sure, quite some hassle organi

I've stopped caring about my birthday as soon as I've turned 18 due to being able to buy alcohol and getting my drivers license. Every birthday from there on out is just another reminder that I'm getting closer to my expiration date. Hah!

You know, it doesn't HAVE to have a deeper meaning. It could be because it's just another day. I don't celebrate not because I actively decide against it, but because I kinda... just don't.

I usually call my mom to say thanks.

Just a quiet day without bullshit, a beer and good steak is all I need.
