On one hand he has to make stories up for the sake of some jokes. On the other hand, when it's to portray himself as "badass", that just comes across as lame.

Fuck Brad Williams. Every single joke is "I'm a midget and midgets are short, huh?" Or "I know this midget, and midgets are short huh?". EVERY JOKE IS MIDGETS. Tell me a joke where the punchline isn't "it's funny because he's short". You have no real material BRAD.
