Why Some Gamers Prefer Playing Against the CPU Instead of Strangers
A viral post by Rodger Sherman highlights a common sentiment among some gamers who grew up with the hobby but have lost interest in competitive online multiplayer. The post humorously identifies a preference for playing exclusively against the computer, citing a lack of desire to engage with strangers online. This perspective resonates with players who find single-player experiences more relaxing or fulfilling than the often intense or unpredictable nature of online PVP environments. The statement reflects a shift in gaming habits where the focus moves away from social competition toward personal, controlled gameplay experiences.

I really wanna play online, i love DayZ but other people are too much of a hassle.
I like pvp games because I am a disagreeable person and I like to see my enemies suffer.
as a millenial, i get bored from single player games veryyy fast. no mather how good they are, it always feels plain after some hours and i get bored. i need the input of random real people. games like dayZ, where u explore mostly for yourself but end up finding people and new si
I am not a "younger millennial" and I play regularly against the CPU and also online against strangers (though online less now than I used to, but for a while that was almost everything I played).
I kill ruskies in pubg everyday even if they are in team
I'm space invaders old and whilst I understand his point, there's a different type of fun to be had with online games. Street Fighter was always better when you played against other people for example.
Online games can be fun if you meet the right people. Otherwise yeah
Has nothing to do with generation.
Sounds like a younger genx, xennial or elder millennial imho
I only play Coop. My PVP days are over mostly due everyone having to try as hard as possible to make the game unfun.
