Figure AI Humanoid Robots Demonstrate Package Sorting Capabilities
Figure AI recently showcased the capabilities of its humanoid robots during a 72-hour nonstop livestream. The demonstration featured robots, including one labeled 'Frank,' performing package sorting tasks on a conveyor system. The robots were shown orienting various packages to ensure labels were positioned for camera scanning. This event highlights ongoing developments in robotics and automation technology within logistics and warehouse environments, sparking discussions about the future of manual labor in the shipping industry.

I'm not satisfied until I hear the doorbell ring, and a package is delivered at my doorstep no longer than 0.2 seconds after I clicked the purchase button. What's the point of it all if not making me a content consumer anyway?
Thank goodness I'm not a package sorter and going to lose my job to AI. I'm a taxi driver!
Wait, this is a bad thing? Have you seen the inside of an Amazon warehouse, let alone worked there? Sorting packages is exactly the menial task an unfeeling robot is supposed to do! Or do you?
Any machine separates/sorting faster.
1. Old news. 2. A lot of those "fully autonomous robots" are in reality remotely controlled using VR headset by people in india or other 3rd world countries, so yeah, its just outsourcing with extra steps.
In Germany the post sorting is fully automated since for ever. What is the achievement?
This is not what "sort" means, the only thing it did was orient the packages so one single camera can read the label.
Frank doesn't snitch on your package, be like Frank
Gungnis is right. It should be the ultimate evolutionary form, crab
why humanoid form, that's so stupid
