The Philosophy of Immanuel Kant and the Nature of Good Systems
This meme contrasts the concept of robust system design with the rigid, disciplined life of the 18th-century philosopher Immanuel Kant. The text argues that effective systems should not rely solely on the presence of good people to function correctly. Below this assertion is a biographical summary of Kant, highlighting his famously repetitive daily routine, his decision to never marry, and his lifelong residency in Koenigsberg. By pairing a critique of systemic design with the image of a man known for his extreme adherence to personal rules, the post invites reflection on the intersection of rigid personal ethics and broader structural stability.

Immanuel Won't
Ah yes. Anyone saying philosophy is easy never read this dude. Once you think you got what he meant, you're about 10% there. Thank you Immanuel, you wanker!
Seems fine to me
I used to work with a guy that had the same thing for lunch every day. An apple, an orange and a banana that he would cut up and put in a sandwich. He even ate them in the same order. IEvery day, no exceptions. I don't know why but it really used to drive me up the wall :)
Immanuel Kant was a real pissant, Who was very rarely stable...
He also did not have kids so his genes died with him

am i immanuel kant?
Yeah, good luck designing a system that cannot be abused from within. It is like trying to create something foolproof. "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." Douglas Adams
