Minimalist Design or Safety Hazard? Apple Store Hides Fire Extinguisher Behind Seamless Panel
A viral image highlights a design choice at the Apple Store on 5th Avenue, where a fire extinguisher is concealed behind a seamless, flush-mounted metal door. While the design maintains the store's signature minimalist aesthetic, it has sparked debate regarding the accessibility of emergency equipment. The enclosure blends perfectly into the cylindrical pillar, leaving no immediate visual indicator of the safety device's location. Critics argue that prioritizing sleek, hidden design over clear, intuitive access to fire safety equipment could pose a significant problem during an emergency, contrasting the company's focus on form with standard safety protocols.
typical apple prioritizing "esthetics" over functionality
Apple stores should have an entrance but no exit. Eventually ridding the world of idiots.
Apple began as company who rethinks things. Now they're just a circle jerk club for self obsessed hipsters who hasn't had an original idea in their life, yet playing the same gimmick over and over again is presented as "innovation".
Apple invented the closet
Shhh let them cook lol
It’s interesting how conveniently the image is cropped. It’s almost as if, just maybe, there’s a sign indicating that the fire extinguisher is inside. I’m just speculating, of course, but the cropping is suspiciously convenient.
I'm so glad they gave up on the idea of building a car
And with no fire extinguisher sign, that is a breach of standard protocol, but its apple store, nothing is lost if its on fire
They're probably going to charge you extra to put the fire out
that a fire prevention violation as fire extinguishers needs to be exposed and easy to locate.
