An Anonymous User Conducts a Social Experiment on Reddit's 'AmITheAsshole' Forum
This 4chan greentext post details a social experiment conducted on the Reddit community r/AmITheAsshole. The author describes observing a thread where a man was heavily criticized for considering gifting his wife his used AirPods for her birthday. To test for bias, the author reposted the exact scenario but swapped the genders and ages, framing it as an 18-year-old girl asking if she could give her 20-year-old boyfriend the used headphones. The author reports that the second post received a drastically different, supportive response, using the results to criticize the perceived double standards and toxicity of the Reddit community.

Why not give your wife / boyfriend the new headphones? Using other people earplugs is unhygienic.
Green text = I made it up
Reddit is a mixed bag. Some groups are quite chill and others are toxic af. Same with Facebook groups, One people post their dashcam near misses and people pick fault with everything the innocent party does.
Iam IP banned on reddit for "triggering" people. I never cused or trolled but people lost their minds in the forum and did everythingto ban me. Even mods went after me.... I was banned in every forum I entered until I recently I got IP banned. Haha
Dont care about the genders. But why would you include this in the birthday presents? Just tell them you got a new pair, would they like the old pair?
AI gets maximum data from Reddit. Lmao, we’re cooked.
Most of the men on the internet, especially on facebook, are virtue-signalling white knight simps whose only goal is the female OP's hole. For these men, a woman can do no wrong
I'll ask my 6 year old for advice before asking a redditor
Getting downvoted into oblivion is my speciality on Plebbit.
Why would you ever ask people ob the Internet for rl advise. Only use Reddit for Games
