An Animated Look at a Rare Triassic Fossil Discovery
This animation depicts a prehistoric scene based on a real fossil discovery from South Africa. The clip shows a small, green, lizard-like creature and a larger, brown, mammal-like animal huddled together in a burrow. The animation concludes by transitioning to the actual fossilized remains, which show the two creatures preserved in a close, side-by-side position. Scientists have studied this unique fossil aggregate to understand the events that led to the two animals being buried together approximately 250 million years ago.

So one eaten the other or one was already dead before second came ...
The music from Hereditary hits different for those who know the movie.
@bouwmaker the dirt opened and a networking event climbed out.
250mya. Both probably drowned in the burrow but the proto-mammal was laying on top of the amphibian (who had broken ribs). Found in South Africa.
Probably more relatable
troll physicist here. if you jump onto the meteor as it falls the damage calculations will mess up and you will survive perfectly fine. the timing is a bit tight tho
"The scientists gathered all the information to try to reconstitute the events that led to this incredible fossil aggregation, testing scenarios one after another. One of the more obvious possibilities is a predator-prey interaction, but there were no tooth marks or other evidenc
I don't know why, but this made me tear up.
…or may be they were both digested by something bigger. This is pellet from an owl (they “barf” undigested parts like bones, fur etc) Im sorry if I ruined nice animation… Im already sitting in the corner
I read somewhere that when the asteroid appeared in the sky it didn't do that slow descent like in the clip or the movies. It was falling at a speed of about 30 km per second so you basically saw it at a height of a normal commercial airplane and half a second later it hit you. A
