Woman Fined $1,400 for Adding Googly Eyes to $88,000 Sculpture
A viral image highlights a legal case involving a woman who was fined $1,400 after pleading guilty to vandalism. The incident involved applying googly eyes to a public art piece known as the 'Blue Blob,' which is valued at $88,000. The sculpture, a smooth, blue, abstract figure, appears significantly altered by the addition of the plastic eyes. While some viewers argue the modification serves as an improvement to the modern art piece, the act resulted in a formal fine for the individual responsible for the unauthorized alteration.

looks better modern art is such trash
Fuck off
Ok. It's the only one I didn't block so far ...
This is off topic. But as a non-English speaker, isn't pleading something you ask mercy for, like begging? Why not saying "Admitting guilt" or something similar? so when someone is pleading guilty, does that mean the person is both admitting having done the deed and asking for me
Fuck off with your vote post
I think we need to start a googly eye movement, placing them on statues and paintings. We can call it an artistic expression so we've got the moral high ground (call it Moral-Eye-Ground!)

Whoever paid $88K for that should be in jail.

This format of memes is so repugnant, dude, if I wanted to be on social media, I would be there. Also the story is very likely fake and the image AI.
