New York City Mandates Simplified Subscription Cancellation

New York City Mandates Simplified Subscription Cancellation - Interesting on Aviaclip

New York City has implemented a new legal requirement for companies, mandating that the process for canceling a subscription must be as straightforward as the process for signing up. This legislation makes New York the first city in the United States to enforce such a rule, aiming to eliminate the complex hurdles often placed in front of consumers attempting to end recurring services. The move is highlighted in social media discourse as a practical solution to common consumer frustrations, drawing comparisons to the ease of canceling services in other regions. The policy reflects a growing trend in consumer protection aimed at preventing companies from using difficult cancellation procedures to retain subscribers against their will.

Happy that I am German. If I am pissed of subscription I just wrote an email with immidiate cancelation due to health reasons. Stop paying and if they take the money automatically, I book it back via SEPA, because I live in EU and I am not a credit card slave. Works every time. S
