Solifugid Emerges from Burrow to Encounter an Ant

This footage captures a solifugid, a member of the arachnid order Solifugae, emerging from a burrow in the ground. Often referred to as camel spiders or sun spiders, these creatures are known for their segmented bodies and powerful jaws. As the solifugid exits its hole, it encounters a nearby ant. The interaction highlights the predatory nature of these arachnids, which are recognized for being voracious biters despite lacking venom or silk. The video provides a close-up look at the unique physical characteristics of the solifugid as it navigates the terrain.

It is an order of Arachnid. Araneae are spiders. Scorpiones are scorpions. Solifugae are the ones in the video. They dont have venom or silk but are voracious biters.

It's a solifugid, 4 jawed nightmare. Camel Spiders are part of that family. Second in aggression only to the giant centipede. Also, not technically a spider or even an Arachnid I believe.
