Controversial 'Cell Beds' Used in Thai Elderly and Cognitive Care Facility
Images from an elderly care facility in Thailand show residents housed in restrictive, cage-like sleeping structures. These "cell beds" feature metal bars and, in some instances, chain-link fencing or barbed wire, designed to contain individuals with severe mental or cognitive disabilities. The facility utilizes these enclosures as a method of managing residents who may exhibit violent or unpredictable behavior. The images highlight the stark living conditions within the center, sparking debate regarding the balance between safety, security, and the humane treatment of vulnerable patients in environments where alternative, less restrictive care options may be limited or unavailable.

Hey look! another thing I hate about the world I live in!
why the hell is there barb wire? The roof is not open so you cant climb from there.
yes and? where is the issue? this beds are for mentally insane and for people with dementia you probably not know this - but old people with mental problems can be dangerous normal people keep their elders at home this place is for the ones that cannot be handled anymore by their
We don't have to die to see Hell. First world prisoners would go on hunger strike for this treatment.
Torture a person to death but we don't commit euthanasia because that's just wrong. We're a moral society.
This is absolutely inhuman, but there probably isn't a proper alternative available. I guess this is the price you pay for living in a "cheap" country
After 6+ years of taking care of my mentally ill father, I can completely understand why they'd do something like this ...
The design is very human
> people with mental or cognitive disabilities. Some of them are violent. Individual padded rooms are not cheap. But this is inhumane, I agree. Imagine they are forced to piss and shit themselves. And this leads to infections and necrosis. This is a literal medieval torture.
That fucking potato is way to happy
