Ah yes. So ~italian~. Basically a grilled cheese sandwich with herbs and ketchup. This shit is getting out of hand.

The classic ‘cheese on toast’. Easy, cheap and tasty. This was a Sunday meal when mum wanted something quick to feed us kids in NZ. I do like the classy Italian version tho. Fancy basil leaf, lol.

I call it "Emergency Pizza", and make it when the daughter brings home stray friends without warning.

The old school pizza, bread, olive oil, tomato sauce, cheese

Damn, in eastern poland post communism my struggle food was bread with lard and pickle or bread with margarine and mustard. I have heard some people ate wet bread with sugar as a sweet snack. Times were brutal and I would die for this italian version

I'm pretty sure there's great and not very good food everywhere. If I even have the money to visit the US, I'll definitely try gumbo and texas chili and hell knows what else.

If you have cheese you ain't struggling.
