Home Care Nurse Faces Charges After Allegedly Transferring Patient's House to Herself for $5
A South Carolina home care nurse, identified as Sarah Smalls, is facing criminal charges following allegations that she fraudulently obtained the deed to her patient's home. The 75-year-old patient, Robert Rowland, was reportedly suffering from Parkinson's disease and a brain injury at the time of the incident. Authorities allege that Smalls signed the property over to herself for the sum of $5 before the man passed away. The situation came to light after Smalls reportedly used a Ring doorbell camera to inform the man's daughter of her father's death and the transfer of the property. Smalls has since been booked by the Horry County Sheriff's Office.
