A Hard Pill to Swallow Regarding the State of AAA Gaming
This meme utilizes the 'Hard to Swallow Pills' format to present a critical perspective on the modern video game industry. The text suggests that the prevalence of microtransactions and corporate greed has caused irreversible damage to the quality and integrity of AAA gaming titles. By framing this statement as a difficult truth, the image highlights growing player frustration with current industry monetization trends and the perceived decline of large-scale game development compared to earlier eras.

esg is even worse
Really hard to swallow pill: you bought those gay retarded games. Nobody was forcing you.
No... They created AAA games. Before them it was only AA games. And AA games are still great.
And we let it happen.
I'm 45. I play PC games since 1994. I never played online games and never will. The oldest game I play regularly is from 97. The newest - from 2012. I literally don't give a fuck about AAA games.
The definition of a AAA game nowadays is "corporate slop for the masses". I haven't played one since the first Horizon game and I still have a sour taste in my mouth.
Irreversible? Only if you're depended on AAA games. The Indie game scene however is what drives the gaming industry today. The only thing most of the AAA does is fuck over your wallet and push graphics.
As long as people pay they'll keep doing it.
So stop playing games from AAA studios and start playing games from smaller developers. Bungie was a pretty small studio before it made Halo 1. Lots of smaller studios out there on Steam putting out fun games without microtransactions.
That's the easiest pill to swallow though
