A Satirical Look at Corporate Logic Regarding the Four-Day Workweek
This social media post uses satire to highlight common frustrations regarding corporate management and productivity expectations. The text describes a hypothetical scenario where a company successfully implements a four-day workweek, resulting in increased productivity, higher employee happiness, and lower turnover. Despite these positive outcomes, the management decides to end the experiment, reasoning that if employees could complete five days of work in four, they should be able to accomplish even more by returning to a five-day schedule. The post serves as a commentary on how some organizations prioritize maximizing output over employee well-being and the potential disconnect between management goals and staff morale.

Pretty much. If they been slacking and just proved it,BACK TO 5 DAYS YOU LAZY BYTCHES!
Deadlines won't move though, employees would just have less time to make stuff happen.
I am self employed. Sometimes i do a 5 days work in 1 day. Such wow, much business. How can work be measured in days? You what - dig a trench? 10 meters per day? Someone has set this merit? This 4 day work week bullshit is being promoted by people whose work amounts to zero anyho
Do you realize that the production is the same whether you work 40 hours in four days or 40 hours in five days, they did not do more, they did the same but working 4x10 hours instead of 5x8 hours
Effort without reward always backfires.
I wonder how long the productivity increase would last. Because most likely when the 4 day week would become a routine everyone would go back to their old productivity.
Imagine what they could do if they worked seven days a week
It's called being motivated. It's a 2-way street, if the company cares about you, you care about the company. If the company exploits you, why care about them when you can get a job literally anywhere else with the same conditions.
My boss asked me to implement 30 minute lunch breaks instead of hour for my team to be more productive. I flat out refused because it would have the opposite effect. People need to unwind to be productive, not stress at the office about coming back to work on time.
Fire 20% of the employees, because obviously everyone is slacking.
