Precision CNC Machine Carves Intricate Wood Designs
This video captures a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine in action, methodically carving decorative patterns into a wooden board. The automated tool follows a programmed path to create various shapes, including floral motifs and heart designs, while leaving behind wood shavings. The process demonstrates the high level of precision and automation achievable in modern woodworking, as the machine executes complex cuts that would traditionally require significant manual labor. The footage highlights the intersection of technology and traditional craftsmanship, showcasing how digital design files are translated into physical, textured art pieces through mechanical routing.

From engineer POV I can say: wow, awesome. We created such automated machines that literally create physical art. From artist POV I van say: it makes me sad that we might erase need for fine wood artists. If everything can be made with CNC machines... For example I don't know any
Morning wood
I am sorry, but does this feel completely meaningless to anyone else if done by a machine like that?
I did not watch the whole thing, I'm board.
Whatever little guy is pushing that cutter around is really precise and talented
As a CNC programmer that tool path hurts my soul.
why do they always makes these vids of something that looks like utter shit. it would be more fun to watch tif the motive was good
I feel sorry for people who do this manually and are proud of their work. This is just soulless.
Question. This is probably programmed to carve this pattern. Why does it need to move back and forth across the board. Just start at one end and carve it along the way to the other.
