Employee Receives Birthday Pizza While Working a Shift
A photograph captures a Tesco shift leader sitting in a breakroom, eating a small, single-serving pizza provided by his workplace to acknowledge his birthday. The employee is shown wearing his work uniform and a headset while sitting on a plastic chair next to a trash bin. Behind him, a whiteboard titled 'Loving your work' features a 'Shout outs' section, highlighting the contrast between the corporate recognition effort and the modest nature of the birthday gesture provided to the staff member on duty.

Is he a child? No. Don’t cry than.
at least someone remembered.
Doubt that's a pizza
So glad I do t have a boss, or shift leader. My only co workers are my brothers, and we have a couple of employees. The average 9gaggers life must really suck, based on how much you all complain about work.
Just as sad as the whiteboard behind him... free pizza though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This picture is so fucking old. Nowadays he had to pay 20$ for that pathetic piece of "pizza" and he had to say "Thank you".
Its a birthday…grow up, snowflake.
If his bday doesnt fall on a weekend or holyday, i dont see why he wouldnt be coming to his shift on his bday, nevertheless expect a gift.
How many of you actually take your birthday off? I thought that was just something a kid dreams of before real life and bills happen...
I work on my birthday almost every year. I don’t even get pizza. So good for him!
