Microsoft Patent Filing Sparks Debate Over In-Game Advertising
A recent news report highlights a patent filed by Microsoft that explores the potential for displaying advertisements within video games, specifically following boss fights or cutscenes. The concept has triggered significant discussion among gamers regarding the future of interactive entertainment and the potential for intrusive monetization strategies. The post pairs this industry news with a reaction image featuring a character laughing, reflecting the cynical or dismissive sentiment held by many in the gaming community toward the prospect of seeing ads injected into their gaming experiences.

You don't get it. It is not that the games are packed with ads, rather Windows will inject ads into games, triggering them with the help of AI observation.
still having windows is like stockholm syndrome.
... Do you think they will not bake in offline ads deep in the core game where you cannot remove it without the source code? are you that naive sweet summer child?
I think this patent is fucking shit too, but you're missing what the patent actually says. The patent is about trying to determine when to interrupt any interactive software (it never actually gets specific to just games). So basically it can just pause whatever you are doing on
I can live in retro gaming
Honestly, it would've been funny if someone DID patent this, for the sole purpose of making sure no one else could and protecting games and gamers from something genuinely awful. So basically, the reverse of what happened with the Nemesis System of Shadow of War.
Lately every company is trying to get more money, they sacrifice everything for it, environment, customer satisfaction, and their own future.
If there is adds in the game , i will not play it. simple as that
I swear some companies deliberately push players into piracy and modified games.
we laugh but the average retard will take it up the ass and get used to it...
