Yeah, it's called white monkey. Been the white monkey quite a few times myself during the time I lived in Shanghai, but at work. Business dinner with customer? Better bring one of our western guys to make them feel important.
I heard in Japan they have those guys on the street herding people into pubs, and apparently for some very Japanese reasons you are waaaaay cooler place if the guy you hired is black....
