The Unique and Surreal Experience of Existing in a Hotel Room
This social media post captures the peculiar, liminal feeling of staying in a hotel. The original author describes the specific atmosphere of hotel living, highlighting elements like identical hallways, abstract art, the hum of air conditioning, and the sense of being disconnected from one's usual life. By focusing on the 'infinite present' of a temporary space, the post resonates with others who find a strange, quiet peace in the anonymity and detachment of being a traveler in an unfamiliar city. It reflects on the mundane details of hotel life, such as empty dressers and the sounds of strangers in the hallway, as part of a shared, relatable experience.

Does anyone actually use the dressers?
I can’t really describe it either, maybe this is the best way to put it. But I kind of feel the same. There is a weird peace at 2 am looking out over a city that I have no knowledge of.
OP enjoys huffing the semen stains on the comforter and stealing the breakfast muffins
And the tv with a few channels that none appeal to you. Specially when you are staying abroad and 90% of the channels are in a language you can't make sense
I generally like the hotel/condo vibe. Simple, clean, efficient, and usually, orderly.
Liminality?
The little tiny croissant, the ubiquitous waffle machine. Unlimited weak-ass coffee. (Although I stayed at a couple that had really good coffee.)
Is a tweet a meme patrick?
Call me old fashioned but I like staying in those older renovated hotels, they always have something that newer hotels don't have like dry saunas
I'm the opposite. I always befriend the staff to make my stay there feel less like a business transaction and more of a pleasant visit. I never post about it on Twitter though. And also never screenshot the tweet to upload it on a racist app. That would just be stupid.
