Comparing the Stereotypical Lifestyles of the Wealthy in New York and Europe
This meme contrasts two different cultural perceptions of wealth. The 'New York rich' archetype is depicted as a high-earning finance professional who works in a corporate environment, wears luxury watches, lives in a building with a doorman, and drives a high-end sedan. In contrast, the 'European rich' archetype is represented by a person enjoying leisure time, specifically sitting at an outdoor cafe in the middle of a workday afternoon. The image highlights the perceived difference between a lifestyle centered on professional status and material accumulation versus one that prioritizes personal time and a relaxed pace of life.

Naw man. Most of you wouldn't even know what a really rich American looks like. It's all generational wealth and they usually look basic. If you see a regular ass dude doing vacation things in the middle of the day. Good chance he's got more money than trump ever did.
That looks like one guy is rich because he's working and the other guy is rich because his daddy worked. They are not the same.
Another Hungarian who can't sleep at night because [insert any other nationality here] carry on with their lives
Rich means you have a lot of money. Wealthy means you have a lot of assets. There's an important distinction. If you have assets that produce 3000€ of passive income per month you're not rich but you can sit and enjoy a coffee on a Tuesday afternoon.
You forgot the 3rd panel: The poor worker in Spain: **Also sitting outside a cafe at 2pm on a Tuesday thinking he's rich** (since everyone takes a mandatory afternoon break)
Imagine paying $5k a month to live in a crusty city. Gross.
Have done both. European is better by a country mile. I swapped money I was just going to spend on more stuff I neither needed, nor wanted for the ability to sleep in whenever I like, to do nothing but read a book all day, to never wear a tie unless I wanted to, and to never have
Some people are so poor, all they have is money.
US: live to work EU: work to live
Plenty of average Europeans do that. Not just the rich ones. Especially in southern Europe.
