Comparing Public Support for Different GoFundMe Campaigns

Comparing Public Support for Different GoFundMe Campaigns - Interesting on Aviaclip

This image presents a commentary on societal values by comparing two GoFundMe campaigns. It highlights the story of Bonnie Pierce, a 38-year-old mother from St. Paul, Minnesota, who died after re-entering a burning building to save her toddler, who survived. The text notes that a fundraiser for her family raised approximately $42,000. This is contrasted with a fundraiser for Lindsay Clancy, who was charged with killing her children, which reportedly raised over $1,000,000. The post uses these figures to express frustration regarding how public attention and financial support are distributed across different causes and situations.

And for the record, the person who made this image didn't donate to Bonnie Pierce, and actually isn't going to donate to any other worthy cause, but they have to express their disappointment somehow.

"However, Pierce realized after getting out that her other daughter, who was just a toddler, was still inside and went back into the burning building to find her." So had she not forgotten her toddler the first time she probably would have lived.

pretty sure that people in fire tend to succumb to smoke before burning to death. Also is heat was high enough to cook her, it was probably hot enough to cook the child. My bullshit meter is tingling. Not saying that this didn't happened, but I am almost sure that this didn't hap

GoFundMes are not a good measure for morality. The one and only thing that dictates the success of GoFundMes is attention. Good or bad, it makes no difference. This Lindsay case generates alot of attention, therefore revenue.
