In my opinion having to put fragile physical disc into your console in XXI is inconvenient af, on the other hand I fully agree with ownership of games.

Fake news: 1) Those disks took a long time to install the game on the console, or especially on the PC 2) Even during PS4 time, day one patches became the norm, not the exception, and some of those patches were several gigs in size, which back then took a while to download 3) Tho
I have games on disks, still has to do a 200Gb update because they changed the color of one icon.

In the future I can see EA, Bethesda, Ubisoft (if it survives till there) or Take 2 Interactive reselling the idea of physical media as something new and charging people an eye and an arm for it
