Comparing Grip Strength: Bodybuilders vs. Everyday People

A video captures a public challenge where individuals are asked to test their grip strength using a digital dynamometer. The participants include both visibly muscular bodybuilders and casual passersby with different physiques. The footage highlights the contrast between aesthetic muscle mass and functional grip strength, as the results vary significantly regardless of the participants' gym-going habits or physical appearance. The test serves as a lighthearted demonstration that having large biceps or a lean physique does not always correlate with the raw grip power often found in individuals who may perform manual labor or possess different types of functional strength.

Who said meat on body is equal to strength and endurance?

People on steroids develop more muscle and growth with no physical activity than a natural person training strength 4x week for the same period of time.

None of the bodybuilders trained there forarms for grip strength while the big dude most likely never goes to the gym but works on a job where he needs a lot of grip strength daily and there are a lot of those. So one guy who trained the muscles that are tested here beat the guys
