look, I don't mean to defend sony. But you simply haven't read a single end-user agreement for the last two decades or more.
That's because you don't buy, you borrow a licence, but it's hard to understand for some people.
I did some game development and frequented indie dev communities, there were a lot of posts about how their sales would increase a lot after their games got cracked and pirated. Pirating is only always negative for AAA games because of how inflated their prices are
Of course piracy is not steeling. It's unauthorized use of software.
I am happy I can emulate every single game Nintendo and Sony put on PS1/2 and equivalent consoles from Nintendo. Of course for free.
